XOCOL8 is an independent chocolatiers passionate about chocolate and its origins. The Mayans produced a drink using cacao, chillies and water called "xocoatl" or "Bitter Water". Our name is derived from this ancient name and our water ganache recipe gives a nod to the original Mayan offering.
Our Beginnings:
XOCOL8 started life selling Belgian couverture chocolate online, as this grew, so did the business model. "How do you make your products appealing and available to all?"
XOCOL8's primary focus is producing chocolate products based around a water ganache recipe (a nod to the original Mayan offering). The water ganache recipe omits dairy products from the traditional process of making a chocolate ganache, enabling us to produce a range of hand crafted chocolate products suitable for all, including those with allergies to dairy/lactose and for vegans and vegetarians.
This allows us to accommodate all comers! If you love chocolate but not the animal fats or dairy products you'll love our vegan water ganache range; Rich dark chocolate water ganache infused with fruit, nuts, salted caramel, cinder toffee, to name just a few.
